Start Your Own Medicinal Herb Garden Workshop: April 5, 2025

Are you interested in learning more about growing your own medicinal herbs? Planning your own Medicinal Herb Garden?

Come join us at Wild Aster Farm and learn the first steps to creating your own medicinal herb garden. Whether you have a few pots, or a few acres, this class will be a great way to get started!

Participants will learn why medicinal herbs are important for a home garden, how to pick which herbs are best suited for your needs, which medicinal herbs are the most versatile and important herbs to have in a home garden. We will cover first steps to creating a strong foundation for healthy and vibrant herbs, and how to maintain/care for an herb garden. Participants will also receive our Herb Seed Starting and Propagation Guide for free and will take home 5 medicinal herb seedlings.

Please plan to wear appropriate clothing and closed toe shoes for walking around a working farm. We will be spend some of the time under shelter and some of the time moving around the farm. There is a bathroom on site for guest use, but it requires going up a flight of stairs.

This class takes place on a working farm, with animals, and medicinal herb crops. Please plan to dress accordingly for the weather the day of the course. The class is mild rain or shine.

Please, no pets. We have our own animals and a working farm dog and for the safety of our animals and your pet we cannot allow outside animals. Task trained service animals are welcome, we just ask that you contact us prior to attending the class so we can make accommodations.

We understand that things come up, folks get sick, etc. If you are going to miss the class, please contact us via email at info@wildasterfarm.com at least 1 week before the scheduled class date to cancel and receive a refund.

If cancellations are made after this time frame, we cannot offer a refund, but may be able to apply your fee to a future class.

Weather Policy:
This class will take place in most mild weather conditions. If the weather is exceptionally bad (hard rain or extreme weather conditions), we may need to cancel. If we cancel due to weather, participants will receive a full refund. We may also be able to reschedule the class. If the class is rescheduled due to weather, we will offer you the opportunity to attend the new date or receive a full refund.
